These terms apply to all purchases and bookings made through www.kauraceramics.com. The website is operated by Atelier Kaura Ab, Business ID 3513435-9, located at Kristianinkatu 15 B 21, Helsinki, Finland. You can reach us at hello@studiokaura.com.
By placing an order or booking a course, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
2. PRODUCTS
All our ceramics are handmade, so each piece is unique. Small variations in shape, size, colour and glaze are natural and are part of the charm. Photos on the website are as accurate as we can make them, but colours may look slightly different on your screen.
Unless stated otherwise, our pieces are dishwasher and food safe. Please check the product description for care instructions.
3. PRICES AND PAYMENT
All prices are in euros (EUR) and include VAT where applicable. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you confirm your order. We accept the payment methods listed at checkout. Your order is confirmed once payment has been received.
We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors. If this happens, we will contact you before processing your order.
4. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
We ship to EU countries. Orders are normally dispatched within 3 working days. Delivery times depend on the carrier and destination, and any times given are estimates.
We pack every item carefully. Please inspect your parcel on arrival. If anything arrives damaged, contact us within 3 days with a photo of the damage and the packaging, and we will arrange a replacement or refund.
The risk of loss or damage passes to you when the parcel is delivered to you.
5. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL AND RETURNS
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods. To do so, notify us in writing at hello@studiokaura.com and return the items within 14 days of notifying us. Items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging. You cover the cost of returning the goods unless we agree otherwise.
We will refund the purchase price, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to custom or made-to-order items made to your specifications.
6. DEFECTIVE GOODS
If a product is faulty, you have the rights provided by the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. Please contact us promptly after noticing the fault, and in any case within a reasonable time. We will repair, replace or refund the item as appropriate.
7. COURSES
Booking. A course place is confirmed once payment has been received. Our courses are relaxed and creative, and no previous clay experience is needed.
Cancellation by you. If you cancel at least 3 days before the course starts, you will receive a full refund. For cancellations up to 24h before the the course, we will keep 50% of the fee unless you find a replacement participant. Cancellations later than 24h before will receive no refund.
Cancellation by us. We may cancel or reschedule a course, for example because of illness or too few participants. In that case you can choose a new date or receive a full refund.
Your work. Pieces made in class need time to dry, be fired and be glazed. The studio will let you know when they are ready for pick-up. Pieces not collected within 3 months may be recycled.
Studio conduct. Please follow the instructor's guidance and the studio's safety rules. Kaura Ceramics is not liable for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to the studio.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this website, including photos, text, designs and logos, belongs to Atelier Kaura Ab and may not be copied or used without our written permission. Our designs are protected by copyright.
9. PRIVACY
We collect and process personal data only as needed to handle orders, bookings and customer service. For details, please see our Privacy Policy.
10. LIABILITY
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as strikes, transport disruptions or extreme weather. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. GOVERNING LAWS AND DISPUTES
These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a disagreement together, you can seek help from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority's consumer advisory service (kkv.fi) and bring the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). Other disputes will be settled by the district court of Helsinki.
12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the website at the time of your order or booking applies to that purchase.
